About Salem's Black Hat Society
Salem’s Black Hat Society (SBHS) was founded in October 2016 when Brian first started street performing for Haunted Happenings in Salem, MA as Borah Brewington Snaggletooth XIII. SBHS brings perpetually fun, positive, energy filled performances creating smiles, joy, happiness, good will AND a little magic to Salem, with proceeds from tips being donated to local children's charities.
As a character witch, BORAH! roams the streets of Salem welcoming, entertaining and engaging with people and helping educate visitors about Salem’s rich history. SBHS also promotes local events, venues and the business community.
You may catch BORAH! singing Happy Birthday, Happy Anniversary, Christmas songs and national and international anthems. Borah is always ready to snap pictures with guests or break out into a crazy song and dance.
BORAH! can also be found officiating weddings and vow renewals around Salem.
SBHS has frequent and unique giveaways, contests and drawings on their Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok accounts. SBHS also can be seen live streaming through the Salem's Black Hat Society and Haunted Happenings Magazine Facebook pages. SBHS also has a YouTube channel where you can find more of their fun videos.
Brian does not practice Wicca or any other religion and is not a witch; he does strongly believe wholeheartedly in diversity and equality.

Brian was born and raised in South Carolina and attended the University of Cincinnati, College Conservatory of Music for Dramatic performance and The Burt Reynolds Institute for Theatre Training in Jupiter, FL.
He has been in numerous national, regional and International commercials as well as a few movies. Brian has done print work for Sony, Coca-Cola and other companies.
Brian moved to Salem with his husband and a Boston Terrier named Scooter in May of 2016 where he currently practices in the healthcare profession.
